MY DESTINY

In my young adult years, the road I was traveling on led to addictions to alcahol, drugs and cigarettes. It was slowly killing me. Unknowingly to me, a co-worker was praying for me. Then late one night, I had a powerful encounter with God. I heard His audible voice say,"I love you" and I was enveloped by His powerful, warm, healing presence. In one single night I was delivered from my addictions.

After that, my life became a continual series of emotional and physical healings and deliverances. My herniated neck was miraculously healed, my relations with my family were revived by a monumental breakthrough of forgiveness, faith and hope. As I found good fellowship and sound Christian teaching in conferences and churches, I grew in the knowledge of the Word of God. I also experienced God's abiding mercy and grace which enabled me to endure significant trials of everyday living. I learned that God turns for His purposes every wicked thing that Satan throws in our path.

Due to an injury at work, I was unemployed for several months which depleted all my savings. Then one day I became the victim of identity theft. Some imposter used my entire email account to ask people for money to be sent to a certain address. It was very disturbing. But the amazing thing was that, as a result, I heard from many concerned friends, some of which I had lost touch with. Some even sent generous offerings after hearing my true story direcly from me by telephone.

Another trying day came when I received a notice in the mail to pay a large penalty for a DUI (driving under the influence) from many years ago. I was shocked. But I obediently paid the dues and attended the required AA (Alcaholic Anonymous) meetings even though I had been sober for over eight years. During those meetings I had a chance to witness to a young man. Eventually I invited him to a revival meeting where he and his family received Christ and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

One by one the trials in my life turned into a blazing trail of powerful testimonies. I soon realized that the destiny of my life is to seek God in everyday life and to serve His people, bringing deliverance in the name of Jesus, binding wounds, loosening revelation and desire to know God and to worship Him.
